Got a running issue at the moment (02 plate Td5), i.e. No oomph.
It will not rev out, there is a bit of a screech (sometimes), bit of a misfire (sort of). This is whilst driving with a slightly heavy right foot. If I drive smoothly through the gears, keeping the revs down, I can get up to about 40 mph. Whilst stationary and I try to rev her up, I get all of the above symptoms plus smoke. Investigation gives me a delaminated turbo hose. Now, the question is this, are my problems all down to the hose or is there something more deep seated to be hunting? It wasn't me! |

Have you tried it with the Air Mass Meter unplugged.

Good points both.
Fair enough point Excossack, eliminate the known fault before I go looking for unknowns. Skeggy 90, absolutely no point doing that until the failed hose is replaced, it's running bad enough as it is. It wasn't me! |

With your love of dipping more than a toe in the water, have you looked at the air filter? Even though I have a "snorkel" it doesn't mean that it's sealed!

I take it that you have checked the red plug on the ECU for oil ingress through the injector harness ?

Filter dry, as is the ECU.
But the hose to the turbo is first port of call. I've had it out and it looks like a bag of plums on the inside. It wasn't me! |

Got to the bottom of it, I hope. It's a combination of EGR failure and MAF sensor failure.
And for good measure, I find two exhaust studs broken. It wasn't me! |
