Yours could well be the manifold but a few of us were surprised at the noise the UJ made when everything pointed to the manifold.

It's a PITA so good luck Smile 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

So all the UJs were pretty dry, packed with grease and initially it seems to be ok... Fingers crossed! I'm amazed the joints make that noise tbh.... Hopefully its a cheap fix! Cheers

This squeak of mine developed into a louder squeak, then transmission vibration. Big Cry A closer inspection found slight play, and discolouration in one of the yokes on the rear prop ( diff end)
New UJ fitted, and fingers crossed all seems good.
Thanks for the heads up Landlord, it wouldn't have been in my mind to closely inspect there had the vibration not started! Thumbs Up

Just to update on this;

Greasing the UJs helped for a bit and then it got worse again. It then deteriorated into a pretty horrible out of balance. End result is the propshaft ends were badly worn. New prop and all sorted.... Another Cheers for you Landlord!

Another chirrup and poor handling at 40-50mph resolved by a replacement UJ as diagnosed by John Dennis 4x4 last week just before MOT Smile
