Coming down from Happy Valley last Saturday after 6:00pm I got a puncture, having another day of greenlaning on the Sunday and only the one spare I was not hopeful of a repair and wary of another day on rocky lanes.
We went into Dolgellau for a pizza and asked around for a tyre place an pointed in the direction of the industrial estate to a tyre repair / fitter.
As this as by now 7:30pm I was thinking get a number and ring in the morning, anyway found the little unit on the industrial estate and a mobile phone number on the sign. Give it a go I thought!
It rang and a bloke answered. Explained my situation and asked if they would be open tomorrow, closed on a Sunday he said ... long shot I know. Where are you he said? Outside you unit, give me 5 mins and I will be round.
Anyway a new valve and a puncture repair for £10:00, is that it I asked, "yes" he said. Well an extra few quid for his troubles and we were off on our way!
