egr blanking kit
Hi I have just taken my 2001 td5 back after getting an egr blanking kit installed, On the short run home I noticed a distinct lack of pulling power over 50 miles an hour.
Is this normal and if so does the engine management unit need re mapping?

The ECU shouldn't need any changes.

Maybe there is a leak on the exhaust manifold where blanked which would reduce boost?

Make sure you've blanked off the vacuum pipes correctly, if not it may not run correctly, just double check. Shouldn't need remapping to show an improvement.

check all the fixings, after a good run they might of relaxed, especially the hose from the intercooler, that one creates a lack of power!
