Location of Battery?
Hi, bear with me if I am a bit clueless only just got the old bus loving it it's great! Going in for some work to get her tip top (Brakes, Propshaft Balance).

Where is the battery and ECU on a 2001 Td5??? Since getting her a bit muddy yesterday too the Nearside front wheel/brake makes a terrible screeching when moving along sometimes, think it'll be grit or something on the disc or a stone somewhere! But having great fun! 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.

Your battery is under the passenger seat, and the ECU is under the driver's seat! (I think!) You get to them by lifting the seat base off, and then removing the metal cover plate underneath Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

And the intermittent screeching will be a stone stuck between the front disk stone guards and disc.
If you intend to do a lot of off road get rid of the stone guards and that issue will be resolved Thumbs Up
