United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Buckingham Blue
I did the same on my 2011 2.4 puma.
Died after about a minute. I just opened the filter drain until I got a steady flow of diesel, then shut it off. Cranked and cranked and cranked, it took a couple of minutes to push all the air out and run smoothly again.

One tip, keep off the throttle as the pump can be damaged if no diesel is present, metal to metal contact of pump internals.

France 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Java Black
Hi,

I finally started mine today,(been away for a couple of weeks). I did this bleeding tool using the hand pump and some pipe found in a shop. Bleed a liter to make sure it was clean fuel and plugged it back... Fired it up and on the road again.

Thank all for your help and tips

Tim
