90 Plastic Side Window trims in black?
Could anyone confirm whether the interior side window trims that go around the side windows and rear small windows ever came from Land Rover in black?

If not has anyone had much success painting the grey ones and if so with what?

I've seen replacement ones from La Salle which come in black but they don't quite look the same and you have to cut out the window apertures.

Part of a plan to do an all black interior.

Many Thanks

Discovery 5 HSE - yes, even despite the ugly backend.

I've only ever seen them in grey since the 90/110 was introduced in 1983/4. Sorry.

I have though seem people spray interior trim pieces on other cars and get a factory looking finish -- sorry to say though that I don't know what product was used.

I painted my plastic grill with Halfords own "plastic" paint.Looks good and easy enough, bought some pre-paint spray (think it was just panel wipe) before I painted it,seems to be holding up. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Thanks all for the response.

At least it seems to confirm you can't buy them from LR in black, and sounds like a decent diy job can be done with some plasticote-type paint.

I'll get the spray booth rigged up! Defender 90 - Tomb Raider LE
