TDC Light on
Hi guys,

first of all great forum!
I picked up a 2010 CSW XS about a month ago from a land rover dealer. The TDC light is on when it starts and stays on till the vehicle starts to move, i did question this at the time and was told that this was ok.

It does seem to me a little strange although it makes no difference to our enjoyment of the vehicle.

Is this the norm?

Hi Oscar
the traction control light stays on for about 20 yards after the engine is started - its mentioned in the hand book, not 100% sure why, but its normal!

TC light goes out on engine start up. ABS light goes out once you have reached a forward speed of 5 kph. Confused the ???? Out of the ? Mechanics at my local Stratstones dealership who kept flagging it up when they did their ? Safety check each time they serviced my 90. In the end I got fed up explaining and photocopied the page in the handbook and asked the service manager to hand them out to the relevant people. LANDYWATCH

your main dealer carrying out your service did not know the abs stays on , and they did more than one service for you , I think I would have worried about them after the first one !!!

I did. So marked up everything major with a UV pen. Out of warranty now. Found out their "Health" check was done by the apprentice . Just a meaningless tick box exercise done every time you visit, for anything. All in the green each time except for the ABS check. Of course the vehicle isn't driven so the ABS never goes out, unlike the other JLR vehicles they service. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH
