Incline/tilt gauges?
Hi all,

Has anyone fitted anything like a tilt/incline or an altimiter (sp?) gauge in their Defender? If so.. where?

I was looking for something like the Mudpod, as I want to save space on the dash for an oil pressure and battery gauge.

The best and probably the cheapest incline meter are your buttocks Laughing
When they start to clench too much then it is time to get out of that situation!

About 20 years ago John Craddock bought about a million of them.
Think they've still got 999,999 left.

Eutek,

Despite the jokes...

I have not installed one, but I found that in the past that in my opinion can be an improvement taking in accout that when you are in a problematic situation you will be more concentrated in the trail than in saw any gauge.

Have the advantage that you can set it and have an audible alarm when you approach to the dangerous angle. Main problem is the price

Cheers Eduardo

I have one in my garage. I pulled it out a rolled toyota and later I found out why he rolled. The tilt gauge stops working after 30 degr. it just stays at 30 degr even with the toyota on its side. Mr. Green Roel

What happened there?

Looking at the skid mark you could have saved it by releasing the brakes but off-course I don't know what was on the road at that time. Roel

I probably would have done the same, even if I was in the disco. I don't think a head on will feel good no matter what car you hit or are in. Roel
