Antifreeze Concentration
I have been mulling over something that has been worrying me since my radiator was replaced.

When I went to collect the vehicle the first thing I did was open the cap on the bottle and found the tank totally empty. No surprise - usual Land Rover lack of proper checks. Confused
They call the mechanic who comes running with a water canister and starts filling the bottle.

I ask him why he didn't use the bottle of antifreeze and he says "no it's fine because I already used four bottles so I can now just add water"

Two things worry me now after checking the manual 1. They mention 50% mix - at 10 litres which means 5
bottles and that would be at full concentration. Would the whole system have been drained to change the radiator?
2. Is the LandRover product pre-mix or concentrate?

Can I get something simple that will be able to tell what LR have in my cooling system as far as concentration is concerned?

Apretiate some advice.

Prepare 1 L each time of 50% mix and add up to your circuit will be full

Thanks D

Sounds like they tried saving costs and only put 4 bottles readymix as opposed to 10 bottles Shocked

Probably best I drain the system and add some Castrol Branded pre-mix rather.

I cannot seem to find the bleed screw anywhere as mentioned in the manual.

Anyone know if we have one or is it a leftover clause from a TD5?

Read the rear lable on the bottle and it seems it is concentrated rather than pre-mix so it may be a little week if he only filled 4 bottles but probably not a train smash Embarassed
