Opps sorry but your dealer have also failed to RTFM for the installation of your "NAS" rear lights see here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26353-15.html
I hope the technician who did it was as careful as mine and you should be able to sort it out with just the right mounts! Ping Porny at irb he can help you, he is on the forum 90 & Wolf 110 XS Previously owned SI SII SIIa SIII & Light weight (air portable) |

Yes I noticed that, got what I believe is a sensible response from the dealer technician who seem to know what they are doing?
"Re your question about LED lights, we fit the lights to correspond with where they are fitted at manufacture, i.e. we fit a flasher where the flasher is fitted. The fixings on the lamps are pre fitted studs which bolt through the body at a 45 degree angle therefore to ensure the lens screws line up level the body is drilled to take the fixing studs." So they seem to have done a proper job unless anyone can tell me different? |

NO! Completely wrong I just hope they did not make extra screw holes or cut the body to make them fit! They did not follow JLR fitting instructions at all! See my thread the link is in my previous post, it also has a link to the topix instructions that the dealer should have followed. They also need to supply the two correct mounting plates also in my thread.
Like the colour but I would say that as it is the same as mine 90 & Wolf 110 XS Previously owned SI SII SIIa SIII & Light weight (air portable) |

I was very lucky and got away with minimal damage, I hope it is the same for you! I unscrewed mine in the dealers carpark to see what had happened while a technician watch and then showed him and the parts manager what was required and that they should use the JLR ssystem to RTFM
It is the outside mounts that are wrong and the indicators do not fit them correctly hence why a lot of other Defenders have been cannibalised to make them fit Good luck don't let it spoil the new Defender as I even took mime with parts not fitted and drove off with a big smile on my face Still have the big smile every time I drive it 90 & Wolf 110 XS Previously owned SI SII SIIa SIII & Light weight (air portable) |
