Hi Mike.
I think this adventure sounds amazing. Great idea.
Please don't take offense but even if you are 'allowed' to take your son into the factory tour, I don't know if that is a good idea. When I did it, it was very interesting, quite long and at times very noisy as well as being driven by Defender to different parts of it.
If my tour (which I was looking forward to for weeks) had included someone with a 1 year old child who invariably would have held things up or cried/winged while I was trying to listen to what the guide was telling us, I would have been really cross. Unless your son is better behaved than any other 1 year old on the planet, please don't take him on the factory tour for the sake of the others on it.
No offence meant - I'm sure he's adorable.

Cuthbert I can't thank you enough for the plethora of suggestions that you made.

I will google for photos and descriptions but your proposed route on the Northwest is what I also had in mind in the first place.

He is adorable as he is also like every other 1 year old on the planet so you are absolutely right about not having him inside the tour.

I just want to know if there is some kind of cafe or rest area inside the factory where my wife can spend her time playing with my son while leaving me free to breath and feel the making of a legend.

After the tour I will calm both of them down by offering them some presents from land rover merchandise that I hope I can find there.

And maybe I will buy myself some small land rover presents as well...

Yes there is a large cafe they can relax in while you enjoy the tour. Make sure you buy plenty of goodies. I regret not buying enough of them when I went. It may be time for another your I think as well. Enjoy
