Belgium 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Barolo Black
My new 110 SW LXV
I would like to introduce myself and my new Defender.

Some 3 months ago I became the proud owner of a new 110 SW LXV. My first Defender, but second Land Rover: I have an Evoque as my daily driver. The Defender is our weekend/vacation/fun-car and until now it has fulfilled that task perfectly: Our 2-year old son doesn’t want to leave the car when we get home Wink . I would love to take my father for a trip through his meadows, but he is half-paralyzed and I’m looking for a way to get him into the Defender from a wheel-chair. He can do this into other ‘normal-height’ cars. Any hints or tips would be appreciated!

Some changes I did until now:
- Installed an Alpine flip-out headunit with front- and rear-camera. Still need to install the GPS unit, but have not found a good location for that yet. The cubby-box looks to be the best candidate so far.
- Stage 3 kit + smaller steering wheel, all with matching orange stitching from Matt at FCX
- 90° rear-door openers and some other small kit from Nakatanenga

Things on my wish-list:
- Roofrack (looking at www.qualan.eu as their prices are good and are willing to do some customisations)
- Tune from Pete at BAS (He has already done my Evoque from 150 to 220+ BHP!)
- All LED lights
- Spare-wheel carrier from Nakatanenga
- Under cubby-box safe from Nakatanenga. Does anyone know if this moves the cubby-box backward? Wandering if the subwoofer would then not stick out too much in the back.

Enjoyed reading on this forum for the last months!

Leon

As for getting your father in,

Maybe there's somewhere with higher ground that you can park next to, to get him in? Cheers, David

Great looking truck

Have you applied dinitrol or another underseal to the rear cross member and tow bar drop plate? Looks like a hammered texture.

A quick update on the 110:

- Installed Nakatanenga cubby box save. Took longer as I expected as I had to extend the cable for the subwoofer, drill 2 extra holes to attach the safe andmaking up some kind of home-made rivnut.
- Installed Nakatanenga ladder
- Ordered a Qualan Alu roofrack. This should be delivered in a week or 2

I will try to make and post some pictures of the interior this weekend.

@swedendefender: I also thought about spacers. Not specifically for the looks, but to improve the turning circle. For now I will do without as they are not legal in Belgium. Or at least you will fail the Belgian MOT test with them installed. I understood that the Sawtooth wheels already stand out a bit wider than other alu wheels. I will also post a picture how they fill the wheel arches.
