Hi and welcome
Not sure about the rear windows, but the bonnet to bulkhead hinges do commonly rust and should be sorted by the dealer. A leak behind the seats might be the boot/tub floor leaking across the front edge somewhere. Once fixed I recommend (as many on here will) painting acf50 around the hinge. You can afford to be quite liberal allowing it to creep into any gaps. Check the rust protection thread under maintenance by Zag for more guidance. |

Hi Adam,
Thanks for that I'll go get some Acf50, I've read all Zag's info and it's booked in at a local specialist for Dinatrol treatment next week, as I'm informed the newer the quicker you should get in done...........I'll have a go at the doors myself as they look easy to reach.......... Cheers......... |

Glad you're loving your defender. How long have you had it now? Post some pics of how it is now, then we can see it progress as you add the bits to it.
I got my first Defender yesterday after years of wanting one and so thrilled with it. I should have got one years ago |

Steve,
Found a thread on another well known landy forum which may contain the answer to your boot floor puddle http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/water-lea...85900.html |

Checker plate? Really? Why? It looks great would look cool with a set of Black saw tooth alloys. And maybe some privacy glass. But personally I wouldn't put checker plate on it.
