Clutch slipping
Hi,

I've recently bought my first defender and I had it remapped the other week by mike from dynachip. I'm very impressed with the results but I've now got a bit of a problem. The clutch is slipping under load in the higher gears when the turbo spools up. The bite on the clutch is about the normal and my landy has only covered 21000 miles. I removed the bell housing plug yesterday and all is well inside. Surely the clutch cannot be worn out after only 21k miles??

All depends on how it was driven previously but yes they can eat clutches at low mileage. The map won't help, every td5 I have mapped over 50k miles has needed a clutch shortly afterwards!
