Hi guys
Ive just picked up my puma 90. MY11. Bought from a mate who had it and its been well looked after and is mint. Anyway, I do alot of towing and always over 2-2.5 tonne. Is it normally that underpowered compared to TD5? Pulling up a hill i had to drop to third and felt it underpower, where as my TD5 goes up nippy in fourth. The TD5 has been chipped but needs new turbo on and injector seals and washers doing but still has more pull. Do i need to have a rummage to see if something has come off or they usually like that? Was looking at doing the airbox mod when i give it a service soon. Any suggestions? |

Just seen coolant is about inch below minimum. Im going to top it up and see what happens. Im sure its not meant to be down on power as much as it is. Oil level looks fine btw.

My coolant level also sits a bit lower than the line, but so did my Td5.
Find someone local and have a go of theirs if you can. But think you could be suffering the standard defender problem, looking for an issue. Ment in good humour Andy |

Took a litre of coolant when I topped it up yesterday, I'll see how much it drops over the next week.
However... Started it up this morning and it had a rough idle and blue ish grey smoke coming out exhaust, drove down the road a mile and it stops smoking and idles fine? Lol. I know, always worries that something is wrong. |
