Defender issues !
Hi,

another eventful day with my 2012 plate defender 90 with, 16K on the clock.

This vehicle is predominantly driven by my wife. She has now been left stranded, without a vehicle on 4 number occasions now. While my next door neighbour drives an £8,000.00 japanese motor with no problems at all. Why should we keep putting up with the inconvenience !!!

1: Turbo hose failed
2: Turbo hose failed
3: Seat belt clasp failed drivers side
4: Windscreen wipers failed (still awaiting call back from dealers 3/4 weeks later)
5: This morning the clutch pedal is stuck in the high position, and again my wife is left stranded. important meeting with NHS consultants this morning, causing lack of credibility to her fledgling business !!!

When will this inconvenience end. We also have the vehicle booked in for a service with Conwy Land Rover tomorrow. Currently our diaries have been scheduled for this to happen. If we have to cancel yet another re-arrangement, and inconvenience of losing another day to the perils of owning a land rover.

Your feedback, and comments are welcome. I will also be contacting the LR customer relations this morning.

Yours in hope !

You are going down the right route and could always use 'Mike' on here to vent your spleen and possibly help you out. Disheartened as you may and with the lack of confidence and reliability you obviously have in the vehicle the final decision is yours....

Offer your neighbour £7,500 for his and knock yours on. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Hi Mike,

thanks for your prompt reply. HAve spoken with a Josh in customer relations this morning. Should I leave this issue with him, and the dealer, or would you still like the info ?
Thanks,

It is heartening to see that Mike appears to get results and willing to assist just about anyone that makes an approach either directly or indirectly. Shame the rest of Land Rover are not always so obliging.

Despite not requiring your services personally Mike.....

Thanks Anyway! Bow down Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Using Conwy, as I already had a service booked in with them. They seem to be very helpful, and understanding that this will be an issue that will be resolved through LR customer services Shocked

Nick at Conwy Land Rover has been a good help. With this issue, and a reasonable priced service !

So far so good, dropped off poorly 90 at the dealers this morning, and picked up replacement 110.

Mike - a copy of letter I left at the dealership has also been sent on a PM.

Will keep all posted on the developments Thumbs Up
