Fuse box wiring
I'm looking to wire in a raptor dash to my 90. I plan to take a wire off the battery to a fuse box which is rated at 100 amps and has 10 terminals. I have got 21 amp cable to run off the fuse box to the switches but want to know what wire cable is best to run from the battery to the fuse box.. can anyone advise?

Many thanks

Without going into too much detail jumpleads are rated at 100 amps. Bearing in mind it is highly unlikely you will draw the maximum at any one given point and taking 'diversity' (not the Dance Troupe) into account a cable with a 10mm2 cross sectional area will suffice, maybe even 6mm2. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

You need to work out the maximum current you are going to run from this fuse box. I recently fitted an Iron Goat dash to a Defender but left the fuse box in the battery compartment. This car had 4 x roof lights, heated seats etc, most of the dash wiring is very low current, gauges, stereo, etc. If you mount the fuse box behind the dashboard make sure you fit a suitable sized fuse as near to the battery as possible on the live wire.
