Usability of the 130
Was just wondering from those who use the 130 daily, is the extra wheelbase regarding turning circle a massive hindrance, is it a great deal worse than the 110? The reason I ask is that I need the carrying capacity of a hi cap (110) but the cab space is limited and the 130 would solve the problems even if it is a little overkill….(I see Foley do a cab extension, but that is a great deal of money for limited extra space and it’s doesn’t look right).
Any guidance would be appreciated, also which is the best engine, Td5, 2.4 or 2.2, I plan to keep the said landy for a good few years…

Peter where are you in Pembrokeshire? I have my 130 down in Milford Haven at the moment. You can give it a try.

Don't really have any issues with turning just have to do a few more turns and plan my route if its a double back bend

I used a 130 at work a few years ago, TD5, it was lovely, really enjoyed driving it and had no problems in car parks etc... 2011 110 USW

Thanks for the replies, had a look at RFT's last night and everything seems to fit the bill. Now its hi cap or 130 decision time.

I use my 130 on a daily base for about two years now. Build a rear sight camera in because I was unsure of the length of the car. First I avoided the city centre but in a few months I was used to the car and hardly use the camera anymore. Only when I am in real trouble. Wink Turning needs some space but it never was a problem for me.

I was used to a 90 but the 130 is so much more comfortable due to the long wheelbase! 2021 Defender 110 D300 HSE
