Has anyone looked at it/am i reading correctly?
Renew manual gearbox oil at 200k or 120months so 10yrs 75,000 miles Transfer box and axle oil at 80,000k 48months so 4yrs or about 35,000miles Seems a bit high? Mike |

When you look at it the first service essentially boils down to an engine oil & filter change, check levels and have a look around elsewhere and that's about it. Not much really for the £300 - 400 the main dealers charge and if it was not for the stamp in the book I'd much prefer to do it myself.

Whilst i agree about 80-90% (ignoring this being the first vehicle ive had to get services for a 3yrs) my concern is that the diffs, transfer box etc seem no different to say the TD5 or 300 but the service length is massive in comparision! concerns me as i would want the diff and transfer box done at 12k and the gearbox at 24k (miles that is) Mike

Just for comparison here are the service specs for the TD5
Click image to enlarge Despite what the schedule says I will be changing the gear + trans + diff oils on the Puma more regularly just as I did on previous models I've owned. |
