I'm sure contacting one of the site sponsors or a company like Nene or twisted would get you a quick answer..
BAS i imagine would be a good start since you have other stuff from them Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

I'm still running a standard turbo. Interested in whether I'm could get a significant performance improvement with a hybrid turbo.
(My turbo also whistles like mad so I'm justifying the expense that way ) 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

I thought you were implying the one you have wasn't - vv. sorry. I believe the only way to max it, is with a bigger turbo. I would imagine the difference between max on standard and the max on a larger vv would be substantial. I also suspect there will a price to pay ie very low end torq although being vv this should be relatively minor and if you're looking for max power you probably use more revs than myself and it probably won't be an issue for you. happy shopping. |

Hi
The hybrid turbo is designed to give with a remap nearly 50nm more torque, it does also give a bhp gain as well. Its main role is to widen the currewnt torque curve making the car more drivable in the wrong or to high gear as well as giving a subtle gain on top of the already remapped car. Q: Will it give as much gain again as the standard car gave with just a remap and cooler added ? A: No the most power comes from the initial remap, intercooler and air intake mods. Regards Pete |
