Personally I can't see how what was pictured would fit... But in answer to your question, possibly with one of these... http://www.carpartscheaply.com/store/car-e...tches.html Whole lot only comes to $163 if it can be supplied for a Defender. If not may give you a couple of ideas if you're 'Engineer Minded?' Shame the seller won't answer your query. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! hi,
I have a pendle bike rack, have a look at http://www.pendle-bike.co.uk/index.php there are lots of options on there, I feel its best to avoid the spare wheel type unless you have a mantec spare wheel carrier. cheers bpman |

No not specifically as a defender item but it has the bolt holes for the flange style tow bar bolts so would fit any tow bar with flange style tow ball |

I already have a tow-bar with standard flange tow ball installed on my Defender. I just want to change the tow ball bit. The part pictured would fit as a direct replacement for a standard flange tow ball. I don't really want to replace the entire tow bar if I can help it. Click image to enlarge |

Thanks nicks - you are the daddy, that's awesome
Now to track down someone willing to sell the tow ball bit separately Last edited by kmac on 5th May 2010 8:01am. Edited 1 time in total |

Any other ideas how to get the twoball an extra 10cm away from the car so the bike rack clears the spare wheel?
Can't seem to find anywhere that will sell the extended towball on its own. |

what about a tow bar extension box type thing as fitted to the 130's ? RLD would probably be able to make you something up?
