Right, backrest time

First job was to pop the back off, these clips are quite brittle and I broke two despite being ultra gentle.

Then pop out the headrest brackets, push a small ratchet clip in from the side and lift

Then unclip and undo 2 screws to remove the middle seat belt plastic

You can then loop the seatbelt around the side and out of the way

As before unclip all the cover trim clips from the frame and the cushion will lift away to be re-trimmed.

As per the base undo all the hog rings

Fix the trim as per the base

Re-assemble

Amazeballs Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Front seats (adding heating elements also) next..... TBC

Looking very good, nice and clean.

I opted for the Exmoortrim seats for the middle row and still trying to work out if I should fit a large upraised cubby box between them or fit another middle seat!! Thats what mine looks like at the moment (below) and I am hoping to fit some Alcantara look alike trim to the headlining.

Tonight's job was to start the front seats...

How it was, perfectly fine, not ripped, as new very practical in Vinyl Twill Confused (note; the heated seat kit to the right Mr. Green )

First job was the base, not going to go into too much detail as there are videos on Youtube showing how to retrim Defender front seats and the Puma seats are only slightly different

Peel back the base cover (bit of glue)

Stick on Waeco Seat Element

The do the backrest by turning it inside out. Puma seats have Hogrings Big Cry They are a git to do on the fronts

Backrest heated element in place

Peel the new cover down (re-attach all the hog rings, this may involve some swearing Whistle )

Ta Da!!!

Then cover with waterproof seats covers as XS seats are not as practical as the Vinyl ones that I already had....

Hmmmmmm Rolling with laughter

Tonights job was to make a start on the roof retrim. Fancied anthracite Thumbs Up

Original roof trim was looking bait grubby

Original trimming is a bit rubbish, reckon I can do a better job

Cut to size

Glue (yes it's high temp)

Stick (note: extra cardboard to protect Laura Ashley spotty table Shocked )

Trim, used Gorilla tape to tidy and add extra stick

Please may i conduct a biological examination of the headlining present in your last photo? I will need a couple of days to sort a Has-Mat suit.... Laughing

Alcantara and seats look really good though, will be interested to see the outcome with the headlining Smile Cheers, David
