wow good memory Gum97! Yeah I live in the Port too and I kept it at home for a short time last year but got too paranoid about it being nicked so I arranged to keep it at my stables in Chester which was more secure I've had it about 5 years and now decided its due for some TLC I'm astounded at the amount of stuff you can buy to tart it up! I was going to swap it for a more modern 4x4 but for the price and the time they'd last we decided to splash out on the Landy instead as it'd outlast anything else A word to the wise isn’t necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.

If you don't mind me asking, why is it on a "Q" plate? An engine to TDi for! "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" |

Not at all
I bought it already on a Q plate. It was built by a Landrover specialist from spares onto a Galvanised Chassis in 1990. We bought it from the lady who bought it from them. We've got all the recipts and stuff and as we don't intend to sell it, the Q plate didn't bother us A word to the wise isn’t necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice. Well hopefully I'll have some pictures for her before she leaves high school! Mine will also have a black roof but I haven't decided if the black trim will be a gloss or a satin finish? A word to the wise isn’t necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.

It took a little longer to get to this stage because of the loom conversion. We converted a TD5 loom so I could have heated seats and wind screen. Also I can have electric windows in the future if I want

Top job, looking good. You'll love the heated seats when it's all done. Even if it is summertime!
