Very! Just the sort of incident that the 'tree huggers' will use to further their cause as well perhaps?

Every time a walker falls and is injured or dies, or is rescued by a MR team in a 4x4, I just keep thinking that walkers / mountaineers etc. all should have insurance to cover the costs incurred in rescuing them, never crosses my mind they should be banned.
I trust that this poor guys insurance will cover the cost of recovering his truck and putting right any damage done. Idiots are amongst us & in every hobby, pastime and profession, Darwin will sometimes prevail. Keith |

My caving insurance cost £18 a year.
Must be about the price of a bobble hat. ![]() |

That's typical of them, just try and find as good insurer They aren't all the same.
This poor chap seems to have suffered from an unfortunate accident which turned out to be fatal, such a shame. I seems like a blameless accident to me without cause for blame. Anyone think it might be subsidence / land slip to blame under weight? It seems a bit that way to me, no one intentionally as a rule enters into a situation where this could happen.
