standard ride height....? spring colours...?
hey guys...

can anyone give me an idea of standard height for a MY11 Puma 90 station wagon please.... measuring from the centre of the hub to the bottom edge of the spats.... mine is 485mm front and 500mm rear... I've been told it's too low and could cause me issues with driveline....?

thing is I've had the wagon since new and the only kit is an arb bar on the front...

also the colour coding on the springs is confusing me.... the front pair are both the same... red, green, orange... and the rear are the same... both, pink, green white....

aren't the left and right of the vehicle supposed to be different...?

having said all this.... she rides brill and drives wonderfully.... just curious and would like pice of mind because of the known issues with lifting/lowering the puma etc...

thanks...

HI,

The springs that you have are standard Land Rover springs for your age vehicle, Land Rover changed from doing sided springs on 90 TDCI Defenders.

HD 90 tdci rears are red yellow green.

Personally I would leave them standard. Smile

that's great...! everything I could find online was saying 'sided springs' thanks mate.... yep, definitely want to keep to standard I've no interest in a lift given the known issues with the driveline... I had been told that droop in the nose was just as bad though...? hence my original query... would be good to know what the 'safe' range is for ride height... Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

You can fit a RR spring isolator to lift the nose about 7mm Puma 110" SW
