I'm just about to attach a set of four hid spotlights to my roof. Is there a generally accepted way of getting the cables from outside to inside the vehicle, I obviously want to avoid any serious drilling of panels.
Has anyone else fitted hids? If so, where have you hidden the ballast packs for each light? |

No hid's, but I ran the cables through a conduit along the snorkel. They then disappear in the gap under the bonnet.

And in a moment of clarity, I've come up with a solution.
The wife is complaining the cubby box is too low, so I shall be making a frame out of 50x50 box section to raise it up and in the process create a neat space for the igniters. It's official, I am a genius!!! It wasn't me! |

When I had roof lights, I ran the cable along the roof bar to where it clamps/bolts onto the gutter, then drilled it through the gutter, through the door seal and down the A-pillar. From there you can go anywhere. (Seat box, behind dash, through grommets into engine bay etc) Cheers, David
