I remember asking the same question in an office many years ago. The conversation went like this:

Me: 'When's Shrove Tuesday this year?'

Little Dougie: 'I think it's next Friday'.

At the time, that destroyed everyone within earshot. Somehow it seems less funny today, but it was a classic answer.

Only 6? .. you're not really trying are you Rolling Eyes

When both lads lived at home we always used to have the 'Eat the most' competition, the wife made then all the same and they'd both try to eat more than me ... they never did.
My record [never beaten] was 14 Cool Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

This talk on how many pancakes is a little nondescript, sometimes I'll use a 12" frying pan or the 9" or even a 7". The differences in the pans will have a bearing on the amount. Generally I'll mix at least 3 pints of mix and me and two boys will just about be at capacity when it is finished, thicknesses will vary but all are eaten with sugar and lemon juice, I am usually last man standing but then I'm stood up whilst eating as I'm cooking continuously for a good 20 minutes.

Problem I have is making them quick enough that the little ones actually build up a queue, giving me a chance to get one Shocked Last year I ended up making them in advance. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon

I usually make the batter the night before, then store it in a old (clean Rolling Eyes ) ketchup squeezy bottle. Much less messy and if I want pancakes next day can just squeeze and go!
