Oh yes I would highly recommend, there's also nothing better than camping out of the back of your landy on a remote Scottish corral beach! A Defender... Mans best friend, never judges, trustworthy (most of the time), go anywhere, do anything, looks the business, and mans biggest money pit!!!
Yes the name for my 90 is Derrick! |

If planning a visit to Scotland - Just remember that by next year you may need your passport, a visa, some strange new currency (as yet un-specified), a visitor's driving licence, additional motor insurance cover and they have declared war on the motorist with huge fines if you park in the wrong place, drift into a bus lane or speed ........
Some spectacular scenery though! |

Oh yes I simply camped under a tarp (typical army) in a sleeping bag with a fire going... It's great to drive off road or up a track and just stop! Shame England and Wales aren't as passive to this idea, every track here either is private or locked for some reason! A Defender... Technically you can't drive onto private tracks in Scotland either, unless there is a vehicular public right of way (very unlikely). Of course you can camp there though, as wild camping is allowed.
To be honest though you are unlikely to come a cropper! Glad you had a nice trip, where did you go? |

Galloway Forrest Glen Coe Oban Mull Tobermory (standard whiskey stop!) Ardnamurchan Mallaig Skye Torridon Inverness Aviemore Then to Glentress and home Epic trip to break in the 90 A Defender...
