It has been over a month since we've been "off the road",so we took a short trip to central Greece,to Evia Island ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euboea )
Many friends with other brands of 4x4's joined us. The route was easy, until we met 2 washouts, that took us almost 3 hours to get all 12 vehicles through. We had a lot of fun, enjoy the pics.. You mean 2 piles of waffle boards
It was a little deep ! https://s3-eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/i.hubnu...1d2995.jpg https://s3-eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/i.hubnu...079e30.jpg https://s3-eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/i.hubnu...9605b2.jpg https://s3-eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/i.hubnu...328f7b.jpg Every crew could try a different approach,i suggested to use 2-3 shovels to dig-shape the edges and we could pass ...a mini on the other side but everyone wanted to try the hard way. My co-driver and i,tried a different approach.. Generaly we hadn't got any major damages, the worst scenario happened to the second green disco,he snaped a rear halfshaft some time earlier and when he got stuck in to the washout,he broke a front CV,run out of winch battery and unseated a tire bead at the same time 2 hours later he was back at the main road, then he drove home (100klms away) with rear right wheel drive(rear detroit locker) No one is left behind at our excersions! I think the local bodyshop helped deepen and widen that wash out a bit.
They have thoroughly greased their cash register mechanism, and are seeing big $$$ £££ €€€ bills coming in the next few weeks. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
