A common cause of this is a defective wheel sensor. The only way really to diagnose further is to plug in a diagnostic tool such as Nanocom to see exactly what it's complaining about.

Both my issues with the same symptoms was the loom chafing and grounding on the chassis.

Pictures were binned ages ago. But basically the loom splits into two sperate looms heading tomards each rear wheel with their own connector. It was shortly before it split where the second occurence was. Dependant on how your loom is routed the most common area is where it routes round the base of your suspension springs over the axle, that was my first experience. Second was where the loom splits into two about halfway on the underside of the truck. You can check the cables as I did from underneath the seat using a multimeter or insulation tester on the modulator connector to point you in the right direction. Then it's a matter of crawling underneath with some cleaning fluid and wiping off the loom to find the chafing. I felt it before I saw it as it was so small.
An end to it it was. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I had the same fault about a year ago. After checking all sensors and wiring as K9F posted I removed, cleaned and greased my ground connections on the chassis and g/b and this solved it for me. 2008 110 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

If its any help
Had the ABS & TC warning lights on, cant remember the code but it was a Ground/earth fault, Garage new of similar problems and re-earthed the ECU's under driver seat (TD5) back to the battery earth-2 week ago now and no problem since My initial thought were wheel sensors, but lucky this was a cheap fix, for which I am grateful I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine |

Also check that all four wheel speed sensors are seated correctly, just push them in as the air gap may be to large.

Had a nightmare trying to set up the gap on my sensors post fault investigation as I ddn't want to potentially damage them by setting them too close perhaps. Ultimately they need to be tapped gently all the way home up to the collar.
