This morning crossed the road with our friend Kitoper who was on his way to our dealer, so decided to follow him, which would allow me to thank them for having persisted at sorting out the issue with the blocked fuel breather pipe. (as per separate thread)
When we got there we saw an impressive line-up of Defenders in their service parking area. An ICE and a RAW which must be there for maintenance, and a very nice new Keswick 110 SW awaiting delivery to a happy owner. Plus the Hunter of Kitoper. I left the SVX on the forecourt, so in total there were 5 present this morning. So in spite of 99% of the dealer sales now being Ewoks, D4s, RRS and FFRR, there still remains good interest for the real business. Look at the DRL which they installed to the RAW. Not bad, even if I prefer my DRL bumper. Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

The Hunter is getting her first service - all oils will be changed, including transfer, gears and diffs - I figure doing it early and right can only be good for her.
At 6500km, I have had no problems - I will do my best to ensure that it is going to stay that way. The funny thing this morning, was as Eric mentions, seeing all the Defenders at a dealer that sells primarily Range Rovers, Discos and Evoques. I suggested that the dealer was becoming true to its heritage, but the Service Manager was not to hot about that comment - despite all the Defenders there this morning, lets not fool ourselves, he knew that it is the Evoques, Range Rovers, and Disco's that pay the bills |
