I have a SATMAP Active 10 with full UK Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 mapping loaded onto it. It comes with a car charger, lithium battery pack and a couple of spare screens. It has a wall charger and a separate battery compartment cover for hand use and a cover which fits into the windscreen suction mount.
I used this when I was a member of a mountain rescue team in Yorkshire and I no longer have use for it. I have modded it with Tigerseal as I am paranoid about water ingress given the cost of it. It is in perfect working order and is an excellent green laning tool for the Defender owner. http://www.satmap.co.uk/ukstore/product_in...ts_id=3932 £200 inc recorded delivery Last edited by borderterrier on 30th May 2014 5:46pm. Forgot to say, it comes with a case for dismounted use away from your Defender.

Weather getting better, thus is a green laning must. 1:50,000 OS mapping shows all public rights of way including Byways.

Hi,
Maybe interested but my use would mainly be for mounting on a jet ski and using marine charts.. so assume its waterproof? I would need to find a secure mount and buy the marine charts. What's you best delivered price? and what is the mount like for it? Thanks Nick |

How old is the mapping on this Steve please? Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Bought last year so I assume it's fresh mapping. Regards being waterproof, it's sold by the manufacturers as being waterproof, but given what it cost to buy I put a seam of Tigersealed (Sikaflex) around the casing. I had it out in some foul weather in the Lakes and on the Dales and it never let anything in.

The mount was a £30 job which for the Defender was perfect. Can't comment on suitability for use on a jet ski, but RAM do a great range of mounts for use anywhere.
