Transit engine in Puma
Hi. Anyone know anything about which Transit engine fits in the Puma - seems to be 4 different engines. I can get a transit engine for around 2.000 € - much cheaper than any engine from a defender. I just need the correct engine "name".

Best regards

whilst you've got the engine out, maybe you could consider putting the 3.2 in? i assume people source these from ford. Twisted, Nene, etc all have fitted these regularly and a couple on this forum have too... Cheers, David

All transit derived engines needs all the defender ancillerys fitting you want a 2.2 dura torque engine or 2.4 dura torque make sure it comes with a ecu

The 3.2 is an option just a lot more work involved

thank you all for answers - was hoping it would be a straightforward switch, with only manifold and turbo being a little different. The 3,2 would be great but illegal in Denmark - max. 20% increase in hp… No chance the LR ecu will communicate with transit engine?
Best regards
