Oddly no, I know some people ordered in the summer and still waiting. Went looking for a black one to match the landie but found this in stock at a dealer. They'll only paint them this colour once a year now as it has to go through the paint booths twice. Stu |

Here is my BIG like button! Click image to enlarge @diesel_jim: Very very nice, perfect classic colour to go with the 110. Wish I had both the G and an additional 110 for the weekends too. Which engine is the OM606a you are going to use for the rebuild? The 606 is out of the W210 (or "E300 saloon" in normal speak), 3 litres, straight 6 diesel.
Is 170 ish bhp standard with drive by wire throttle. Send the FIP off for some tweeking (remove the plungers and fit 6mm ones instead of 5,5) and with some boost and an intercooler, 200~250bhp is normal. Some American loons are running 2bar of turbo boost, with some head mods getting 400bhp! I went out in a W463 LWB last weekend with the 606 and modified FIP, it pulled like a train, really well, and nice and quiet too. Will be using the 5 speed auto from the W210 as well. It's an electronic box, rather like the disco 2 auto, so you use a box of tricks, very similar to the compushift, to control it. Can't wait to play!! |

Opposite to the OP, I'm a fan of European, and British cars, and will walk or catch a bus before I drive a Kia/Hyundai
We have: The Land Rovers, Mine & MrsK's (on the day she collected the new Evoque): And my car for work (or here North of Ullapool heading off hillwalking): Really pleased with the XC70- been an awesome car. Just turned 82k miles last night And my old K12, here on a trackday: The K12 is in a spare garage now with a battery charger attached....just not getting time to ride her Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
