170 + km/h with BAS tune only and on std Continental tyres. Should go faster once I install my Intercooler.

Wow ! I make that about 105 mph.
That sounds plenty fast enough in a Defender. 2005 Td5 90 XS Steve |

Strange choice of vehicle for speed though...
A bit like taking a 911 off road. |

I haven't calculated the GPS speed. I have a GPS somewhere at home which I will hook up. Yes I know the Conti's have a top speed rating of 106mph. I like to go fast, I have other fast cars that when I drive the Defender it feels really slow.
After the re map it feels alive, more lively and easier to use on a Daily basis. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition |

Defenders that get 255/85-16 tyres as kind of a rule make the speedo reading "spot on". In my case, with new ToyoO/C-MTs and overinflation the speedo tells 1km/h more than the GPS thinks it does.
With standard size tyres speed was a little lower than shown. Impressive either way round. And that without hardware mod .. you´re certainly grittier than me. Anything above 140km/h scares me in the 110" Hope your windscreen seal won´t sag .. (just kidding) |

That's the uber-cool portal-axled 130 that features on the D44 forum, is it not? I like that truck!
