gees sorry to hear that.
whats the story? mine in again today for carpet replacement due to butcher who replaced clutch last month which is very good now. lightest I've ever had in any series, defender or rrclassic! they repairing wing tops due to same butcher who seems to have had very pointy elbows . they reckon cheaper for them to repair than stick on genuine protectors I still reckon egr problem seeing as he sounds like he has an exhaust brake activated unless right shoe is traveling downwards. Oh and wiper wheel box seems to be trying out for the role of a creaking door in some 60's horror show still though I wouldn't swap for anything. 130 definitely the way to go for me. smoooooothest ride by far of any LR I've had I haven't had the number of looks while driving since I was doing ladies charity marathon in a tutu. ps I'm 6ft 18 stone late 30's former prop!!! |

Chatter when the clutch pedal is depressed to change gear. The noise can be replicated by getting vehicle to 50 mph, select neutral release the clutch pedal and let the vehicle freewheel = Chatter Chatter Chatter Chatter Chatter Chatter Chatter Chatter 130's have feeling's as well you know

I am having my second clutch being fitted as we speak. Aparently dealer had to argue with LRSA to get them to foot the bill.
Also awaiting new radiator. |

Aparently the first exchange was from the old design to the new but that didn't last either.
We drive our vehilcle very conservatively most times and only go offroad once every 2 months and once a year for 3 weeks so I ccannot say it is due to abuse. |

yeah i've had 2 clutches as well. The first time they replaced the faulty "Ford" spec clutch with a new "Ford" spec clutch. Then, 50 000km later it also died, and now they have put in the correct "Land Rover" spec clutch...

Aha - that's maybe what they installed the first time - although they swore it was the revised"uprated" clutch. Do you know if they replace the pressure plate, release bearing and clutch plate or just one part? |

they replaced the whole thing, releaser bearing included (this requires LR approval though, but you should get your dealer to argue that they all wear together so they should all be replaced).

the "uprated" clutch made no difference to my 130. Going in for its third in 20,000 miles next week.
i think we should be a little more public in this matter to get LR to actually take notice and do something about it , its not as if they cant afford it at the moment.. any thoughts ? Sib Bath UK 1952 80 inch 1973 88 inch 2018 Morgan plus 4 narrow body |
