Please do! Willing volunteer here if you do! New EGR Valve fitted this week after having to call LR Assist week before, lost remap as result....Sick to the back teeth of EGR Valve issues and fallout thereof. Please, please, please if someone has a suitable blank manufactured or about to do so with the much researched 19 mm hole in, send me one or let me know how much remuneration you would like for one. Mr Woo what was your resolution in perfecting the perfect plate? Did you too end up with a 19mm hole or thereabouts? I have/had an Autologic remap that doesn't give the vehicle owner the capability of reverting back to standard at home. Once installed if lost/overwritten you can go back to any Autologic dealer and get it reinstalled free gratis.
I am more than happy with the performance/fuel economy increases (it is a phenominal difference) and had it done prior to joining this site and finding out about Pete from BAS's option. For convenience have to admit BAS seems better, but having already shelled out will not do so again, will stick with what I have. Maybe next vehicle Pete? Yep 19mm just as a further note and to prove there greatness I ran for 48k miles with a partially blanked plate, some of those miles I dont know how many were with a broken EGR valve. This had no affect on my performance as the engine was getting all the ambient air it needed. The only reason I had a new EGR in the end was becuase the 90 was in for something else and Land Rover replaced it, I didn;t want or more improtantly need a new EGR. When mine is out of wrrantly I am going to rip out all the EGR plumbing, blank the recirculation completely and pay Pete to sort out the MIL light. |

K9F What happened to cause the LR assist call out? Mine goes in tomorrow with, I assume EGR issues and assume I will also lose the Autologic remap. Power lag between 1800 - 2300rpm and black smoke during this range when some right foot applied? MIL came on Friday and was throwing Turbo over boost and MAF out of range fault codes. I had to turn the car off twice on my way from the Isle of Wight to Guildford, same again on the return as the car had gone into "limp home" mode. Quite annoying when you pull out to overtake, give it some right foot and the car slows down rather than speeds up! Switching off and re-starting cleared the "limp home" problem for about 20 miles..... Conclusion is EGR seems to be a pain in the Ar5e and a problem for most of us on here. Having just given Brown £435 for another 12mths I am more than happy to say bye bye to the EGR. Add me to the list please Pete. JMS |

It was a 'hard latch' MIL light. I did not however go into 'limp mode.' No worries about the Autologic remap I have been assured that as soon as they have 'overcome' the gremlins created by the recent Land Rover software upgrades I shall have it reloaded free gratis when it is compatable. Have to admit though with the software upgrades and no remap mid-range acceleration is still better than it was prior remap, still miss the extra 80NM of torque and 30BHP though. Not really sure of the context of your question, nevertheless my vehicle felt like it had a rocket up it's ar5e after the remap was programmed in. The speed limiter was removed and the drivability of the vehicle was much improved over standard, not to mention the improved fuel consumption. Back to 'normal' now but I yearn for the day it can be reinstalled. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
