Tapping/knocking from brakes
I have a new 110USW and when the vehicle is slowing down to a point where the engine isn't drowning out the sound there seems to be a knocking sound coming from what I think is the brakes. The knocking seems to happen more when braking but I'm not 100% sure. I thought I had seen a post on this before but couldnt find it anywhere?

Anyone else experienced this?

I don't know if it is the same sound you hear, but recently I reported to the dealer that my brakes would squeal when coming to the end of a straight run.

During the service they took off the wheels to investigate and supposedly adjusted the brakes. While the squeal is still there (and worse), the vehicle now makes a strange "knock" when I set off or slow down.

It doesn't appear related directly to the gearbox... it happens when the vehicle picks up a bit of momentum, or there is a bit of force from a downshift or slowdown. It sounds like someone tapping the chassis with the handle of a screwdriver.

it just amazes me the crap they come out with, I was told our truck didn't have grease nipples on the propshaft when I asked why they hadn't been greased, the service manager still has a grease nipple mark on his head Evil or Very Mad 2.4 90 XS
