Up for grabs is my 1988 Porsche 911
3.2 Flat 6 (puff of smoke on start up) G50 5 speed gear box 'Sports' black leather interior (in very good condition) Blaupunkt Toronto Radio Cassette (with 6 speakers) Targa roof panel (untrimmed on inside) Electric seats (that don't work ?) Genuine original Fuch alloys in correct sizes Good tyres Paint work is generally very good, there is a rust spot under the drivers side headlight (pictured) and the paint has faded to pink on the drivers side rear wing Although fully carpeted the carpet has been removed drivers side to dry as the Targa roof seal isn't amazing Solid underneath Big wad of paperwork / history In my ownership I've put on a new Bosch battery and replaced the fuel pump and distributor cap This is a great car, it starts first time, is great fun to drive, is a little 'ratty' with things like the heater and electric mirrors not working and faded paintwork but to me that added to the appeal and meant I wasn't precious about it and could leave it in the street without fear of someone keying it It's also VERY cheap and the reason is that it was a Cat C write off in 2000, I believe the damage was only to a wing and bonnet but back then the market had dropped out of these cars and with main dealer prices for repairs it was easy to see it 'written off' So, it's being sold out of season and with a 'poor' insurance history but will give a lot of pleasure and offers cheap iconic motoring if only for one summer to get it out of your system and then sell on to another guy going through his mid life crisis. These cars fetch a minimum of £10k without the insurance history but in much poorer condition, this really is a bargain ! Cash ONLY on collection, I can take you for a test drive but you are not driving it yourself without a 100% deposit. Any inspection welcome Headcorn, Kent, Private Sale Thank you for looking Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Last edited by Go Beyond on 3rd Feb 2014 4:44pm.
