Well, a friend of mine here has a 1 year old "Hunter" limited edition, where LR Switzerland put full leather and heated Scheelman seats. When I compare them with the Recaros in my SVX, I really think the Recaros come out better. More side support, less thick padding, and one thing is for sure, the thickness of the Scheelman seats leave less room between driver and steering wheel than the Recaros. Some people may prefer the thicker padding, but that becomes a very personal issue then. In my opinion if the money would be about the same, go for the Land Rover Recaros.
One more advantage the Recaros have over the Scheelman seats is that LR offer as accessory a perfect seat cover for the Recaros. The Scheelman seats are only used by Land Rover in a few very limited editions in Germany and Switzerland, and for those number they have not designed and produced a seat cover. I know this very well, because my Hunter friend is going thru a lot of hoola to get someone to produce a nice seat cover for his front Recaros. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Carriage for a Scheelmann seat around mainland Europe would be in the region of 40-50 Euros.
Carriage to Indonesia would be a lot more and may or may not attract Indonesia custom duties. Depending on seat option required delivery times around Europe could be up to 6 weeks. Non European countries it would depend on how long custom clearance takes and if there is any under table requirements are required. Brendan |

I suppose I really ought to get round to putting them on the website given that we sell them. Things with lots of different permutations I tend to let slip down the list of jobs to do.
They are dead comfy though, I much prefer them to the standard Land Rover ones. Barbara |

I actually prefer them to the recaros. I just think they look better made, and more in keeping with the Defender.

the Recaro are made with stronger materials, at least those built with leatherette. I speak from personal experience! Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |
