Raised Air Intake - part no.
Hey guys I need our help I ordered the snorkel for my 2008 110 defender from my land rover dealer and I received the snorkel but its seems to be for the older defender, part no PHD 500340 but when I went on the land rover website the part no. is LR008383. Is this correct?

Anyone got any pictures of the snorkel, would really be appreciated?

That PN is correct. Here's a picture from the LR catalogue.

...or £139,82 at Paddocks ... Very Happy where I bought mine ... even with shipping to Portugal (a total of £157.45=179 €) I paid less 50€ if I bought it here!
The Land Rover one would cost me near 300€!! Shocked

Thanks guys! Rolling with laughter I paid roughly £279 Big Cry but I didn't have enough time to buy it from the UK and get it shipped back to dubai so i ordered from my dealer directly not a bad price considering when I got a quote from the UK, £328 for the LR snorkel. I will be buying the mantec one when I get my 90 soft top in August Mr. Green '08 LR Defender 110

I just paid Mantec direct for 2 x 1-DPFL-R Raised Air Intakes 'plastic jobbys'

Total = £279.65 inc Vat and delivery. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

On a more serious note, has anyone properly waterproofed their intake with the Mantec? I followed Andrew's excellent instructions when I first installed it (and added a nice silicone bead as well) so it's fairly watertight from the outside but I've not investigated how well it is sealed on the inside - on the way to the filter.

I know these are "raised air intakes" and not "snorkels" but it would be nuts not to get the added benefit from them. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

That's the Mantec one, which is manufactured with an LR badge.

according to 03/10 microcat 500340 refers to raised intake kit TO Vin (v)8a999999
Will not fit SVX softtop models
from Vin (V)9a000001 part is LR0008383

Thanks sasha but the 90 soft top I have ordered isn't an SVX its a standard 90 XS Soft top defender they produce them just for the middle east markets as I have been told by my dealer. I ll try and get a picture of one on the showroom floor. Personally looks much better than the SVX soft top, in my opinion. '08 LR Defender 110
