Is it sufficient just to paint a crossmember on a new 110 without additional rust prevention treatment?

make sure its all completely clean, get some alcohol/paint prep wipes on it

get a few coats of decent paint on top (probably won't need primer if its pretty new)

let it dry thoroughly and then buy a can of waxoyl or equivalent and get it in every hole and in every section from every angle

I prefer ACF365 to WD40...ACF doesn't attract dust... Thumbs Up Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

If it's not that bad, which suspect it isn't but looking a bit tatty, then yes, you'll be fine.

You say new, but why would you paint a new one? That'll probably void the warranty?

Here's how I did mine that wasn't that bad.
