Try unplugging the MAF. I ran mine for a couple of days unplugged and the difference wasn't massive but it definately felt smoother while changing gear etc and while picking up revs. My fuel economy was quite a bit down too, how many miles do you get on a tank?

Not sure about miles to the tank but I get between about 21 and 23 mpg at the moment. All short journeys around here, although the last tank had some good long runs in it and still only managed to return 22 mpg.

I will disconnect it this morning, although it was new last June! I replaced a cheap one with a vdo unit

Yeah it's worth a try! I just did a couple off hundred miles which was more motorway than normal but I seem to have gained my missing 40/70 miles per tank back Mr. Green but we'll see how I does on the stop and start driving around here for a few weeks before I'm totally happy it's back to normal.

Disconnected mine today and it seems to be running better, seems less jerky when coming off the throttle.
Will get the multimeter out & test the voltage tomorrow and see what that reads.
I also seem to be losing a few MPG's, could the MAF be the culprit ?

Thumbs Up

How long can I leave the MAF plug disconnected for ?
When it is disconnected does it cause any harm ?

Will try & get a test on the plug as described on the BAS website.
