I think its an error. You should get 5 matching wheels and tyres when you buy it. Give em hell 59 2.4 110 XS Utility

Really? The nuts won't fit? Well... that would not be cool if I had to use the spare.

You can use "alloy" wheel nuts on steel wheels, just not "steel" nuts on alloy wheels.
But a steel wheel with "alloy" nuts looks stoooopid! |

I'm going to ring them tomorrow and see what they have to say. I feel really stupid for not checking before I bought the vehicle, but still...

A steel wheel is located by the cones on the nuts. Alloy nuts will not mount the wheel concentrically and will almost certainly loosen rapidly. |

You can use alloy nuts on steel wheels done it many times.
Look at the nut you will see the part is identical to the steel - in effect with the alloy nut you just get a longer round shaft for the alloy. Ill have a pic somewhere. On the topic of the alloy - you should get a matching set...unless of course for some reason its one of these optional delete spec things (although i cant remember it...eg: you used to be able to select a steel spare not an alloy and save ££) Mike |

Thanks for the help.
I did see a pic of the truck before it got to this dealer, and it had an alloy spare at the time, so I'll have a word with the dealer today and see how it goes. |

I also had a set of five Boosts with my 90XS. Just recently had this very issue when swapping Boosts for Mach 5's. Alloy nuts WILL mount steel wheels concentrically as they still have the 45 degree chamfer machined in them. They should however only be used as 'a get you home option' and not for a prolonged period of time. Alloy nuts on steel wheels do look daft but I didn't have the foresight to consider this when ordering wheels and had no other option for a couple of days. Until receiving a set of these... Well... I called and spoke to the salesman who sold me the truck, he tried to fob me off with "of course, they all ship with steel wheels, but they can be used as a spare".
Wasn't buying it, told me I'd seen the car and pics of the car with the alloy wheel, etc. He said that he'd speak to the service manager to see if they can sort something out. I'm waiting to hear back. |

My 110 XS has five boost alloys i.e. the spare is an alloy, NOT steel! He's bricking it and trying to fob you off. |
