Once your defender is built and has the bits on it will look great.
I once ordered a vw transporter kombi in sand beige metallic. When it arrived I went to look at it without the sport line kit on that they were going to fit. It looked crap. But once the alloys side bars etc were on it looked great I'm sure your new defender will be even better than you expected. |

Is Havanna metallic brown, would be nice to see one in the flesh, reckon it might look quite nice, certainly different.
Edit..This un ?? One of the nicest metallic colours there is, with it being dark it's gonna need a bit of looking after tho,the dark colour will highlight the dirt. Click image to enlarge Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. Last edited by jimbob7 on 25th Jan 2014 7:13pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It looks dark grey, but in sunlight can look blue or brown. I'm just hoping its sunny everyday after I get it. And I'll have to keep it clean all the time

I must admit, i very nearly went for Havana... but felt it wasnt very 'Defender-ish' upon reflection.
Still like it though I eventually went with the safe option of Corris. I really like Keswick, but not quite the look i was after. |

It's your money but I would have the Havanna all day long, tbh, Aintree isn't gonna look too good with dirt on it either. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Thanks for the encouragement Jimbo. I don't think I have the chance to change it now so I do need to learn to Love Havana. Had I seen it on a clean model with nice alloys - who knows, maybe I'd have liked it much more. But it's certainly made me concerned as I'll be gutted if after spending all that money and time on it, I get it and struggle to bond with the colour

If you liked Havana after doing a lot of thinking (and you've said that you did).......... you will probably still like it when you see your new vehicle all shiny and with your other choice of accessories. Relax ....... at least you didn't pick Boring Grey with Black Wheels ..... that really would send you into a very deep sleep from which you might never awaken.
As the Land Rover salesman said to be when I bought mine "Take your time picking the colour because you might be looking at it every day for a very long time .............. and it will cost you same whether you pick the right or wrong colour"! |

Ordered my 110 XS in Havana this weekend. This very recent photo of a 2014 Defender confirmed that this is the colour for me! Hope Smilesapart that you still like it also....

Ok now you see in that photo (which apart from missing the privacy glass is identical to mine) it looks great! Ok I need to just wait and see. I really think the particular defender I saw was not the best example to see as my first real life Defender in my chosen colour

I have mild OCD and 'don't do' dirt very well... In my eyes any vehicle covered in dirt and grime looks shyte....even mine. The beauty about a Defender is with all the myriad of extras available you can make it your own. Once inside driving it about hopefully with the excitement and enjoyment the colour will be one of the last things on your mind. Also as long as you don't colour coordinate the centre of the dash from where you'll be sitting you'll not see it. Unless in town you catch a glimpse of yourself in a shop window perhaps.
Remember you chose that colour for a reason and lighting conditions can make it look vastly different. Firenze Red is another colour that changes vastly with light. Enjoy it.....sod the colour. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
