United Kingdom 2006 Defender 110 Td5 SW Epsom Green
Heads up: Wiltshire/OXfordshire
The farmer down the road from my parents place near Shrivenham had his 90 stolen earlier this week

Although he lives in a farm at the end of a 1 mile track, there is a footpath going through it, so suspect it was recce'd beforehand.

He'd just been to the bank to get several hundred pounds in change ready for the Stroud farmers market on Saturday, plus had three brand new tyres in the back.

Good news is, one ofhis daughers posted it up on farcebook, and within an hour, someone had spotted it less than 3 miles away parked on the A420 near Acorn bridge (that's the large double arched bridge just outside Swindon), and being as it was at night the thing was taken and the interior light doesn't work, the money and tyres were still there!

The farm right by Acorn bridge was also raided... locks on the barns were cut. They were burgled about 6 months ago, so suspect the to$$ers thought "give it 6 months for the insurance to pay out and farmer to replace all the kit, and we'll go nick it again instead of getting a proper job" but farmer hadn't replaced anything, so no more was stolen.

The original stolen 90 was used to access the farm across several fields, then abandoned on the main road.

Lucky for all really that it was found and nothing else taken.

wow was lucky - can't believe anyone would leave that much money in any vehicle overnight, never mind a defender!
