Sorry to hear that rest assured we will all keep a look out - any distinguishing features / fitted extras that might give it away just in case any one sees one - also colour etc as no doubt on different plates & sadly sounds like some front damage 2020 P300 HSE

Cheers for the replies.
Gutted as new expanding family toy, only 2 months old to us. Had Recaro bucket seats Rear step bumper Under shield Full rubber mats Parrot Bluetooth Black chequer plate Lloyds Carlise rear wheel cover. Was taken during the night from outside our house, guessing it was targeted as we live in a remote location with a quarter mile drive. |

Bad news, and hope it ends well for you.
Did they get the keys, or was the disclock cut off? I was going to buy a disclock tomorrow for mine, but you have made think again. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

Still got keys, disklok must have been cut some how, only found plastic handle grip and lock barrel of disklok. Think may consider quick release steering wheel next time.

That's worrying about the Disklok, I thought they were fairly bomb proof. Mind you, if they drove it through a wall, then I guess they weren't bothered about making too much noise.
Is the Defender the most stolen car, or do we just see it more because we focus on it on this forum..? Cheers Simon |

i read somewhere that the defender was only second to the ford transit recently in number of thefts / year
also disk lock wise, im 99% sure it was on this forum i found the link, most they tested numerous disk locks and compared the pros / cons of each, most lasted under 20 seconds.. with the best taking approx 3-5 minutes |

I'm assuming the Disklok mentioned was the branded, full disk version... http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/ which I have always thought had the >2min breaking in time.
Would be interesting to know which version was used. Cheers Simon |

I'm really sorry about your 110.
*Martin can delete this if he wants* but I believe that the thiefs are informed so why shouldn't the owners be? As this has shown. It's on the web anyway. Here http://passionford.com/forum/general-car-r...ecure.html http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.a...6&nmt= Diskloks are a good visual deterrent to a casual opportunist but very easy to bypass if you know what you're doing. They have two very key weaknesses. 1. You can peel them off. Steel is super strong but the soft rubber steering wheel on a defender is quite flexible. Pry bar up and under the back of the disc and peel it out just like taking a bike tyre off 2. The hinge on the arm is weak, lock strong and hard, hinge weak and easy. Break the hinge and beat the lock. As the above links, you can modify them and I urge you to do this. |
