Other than BMW drivers ('nuff said) it appears to include the older generation as well for some reason. Kia drivers seem to be as ignorant as BM drivers here. As for Subaru drivers ...ah you covered that with spotty kids  Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I do think this is a great idea tho...if it's foggy enough for fog lights, how can the driver possibly think it's safe to drive at more than 30mph? Also, even when it's slightly foggy, people drive with all 4 front lights on...that's not the point...front fogs are there to reduce the reflective light in fog or falling snow, not to be used as-well-as Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Yes I do turn them off at the appropriate time. If you want something to get upset about try compound headlights with indicators built in and drl s as these manage to make it basically impossible to see the indicator in daylight let alone at night when the headlights are on too. A separate and distinct indicator bright enough to be seen beyond other lamps would suffice. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Yes, they do it on both the standard Evoque lights and the sexy Signature Lights (which I think make the Evoque and I'm always looking at the reflection in the back of other cars when I driving!).

My pet hate is incorrectly aligned headlights. They always seem to be aimed at the same height as my wing mirrors blinding me when they are following me. I'd love a matrix board in the rear window to tell them exactly what I think of them
I know a lot of posters have said that the police should do more to tackle the issues raised but we must remember that the police have been at the brunt of some massive financial cuts, the numbers of officers are at an all time low and with all the red tape and target setting culture, "little" offences that would help control our blood pressure if dealt with, aren't deemed a priority and the officers on the ground haven't got the time and resources to deal with the little old lady driving along with her fog lights on. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold) Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |

They don't get corrected 'til their first MoT.  |

I blame all those that keep cleaning their cars, they see a speck of dirt on the light lens and rub like hell pushing the light out of alignment

How about the people who drive around with full beam on IN TRAFFIC! Can we have them given, i dunno, a lethal injection or something? Nothing worse then being in a lorry on the limiter and some utter retard sits behind you with full beam on, it is all you can see in the mirrors.
How about the dawdlers in perfectly good cars who do about 45 up the motorway, and when you go to overtake them they speed up just enough to snooker you in the middle lane. People who drive around at night or in dense fog with no lights on. I do agree with the general comments about fog lights, most of them are used when they are not required, the irony is that when they *are* needed they somehow fail to work...funny that. I drove down Stokenchurch hill in very dense fog a few weeks ago and some of the cars in front and behind were very quickly invisible as they were unlit. It really boggles the mind, especially when they come past you and you see they have kids inside. I do think some kind of 5 or at most 10 year theory test (which must be passed to keep a license) should be brought in. Overall though I think the problem is lack of adequate policing and target driven enforcement which overlooks "minor" issues which could cause bigger problems. In Germany the use of rear fogs is limited to periods of low visibilty (as here) but by using them you automatically restricts your speed to 50kph (30mph). Unfortunately, in a survey of drivers less than 50% were even aware of the speed restriction! I reckon a change to the law in the UK would be good but linked to a TV/internet advertising campaign along the lines of Clunk/Click (but maybe without the paedo presenter lol)

My pet hate is people in little cars who feel the need to swing out to the right before turning left into a junction as if they were driving an artic!
Had a lovely old lady do it the other day and force me off the road as she swung into her drive. As I was already up on the other pavement I parked up and got out to have a word. Her excuse was her husband was precious about his alloys. When I pointed out she's have lost the front end of her car if she'd hit me she looked baffled. Grrrrr |
