I do like that step in the tailgate idea plus the fold down storage in the seats, not so much of an issue in a Defender but with vehicles with plumper bulkier seats that's an ideal opportunity for some selling gimmicks.

There are some very nice features on that F150, I wonder if it will ever be on sale in the UK? Doubt it, sadly.
I like the on-board mains sockets! |

Errm am I seeing the same thing as you guys here?
Sloppy, cheaply made American crap. Useless off road and huge? No character, just chrome and stupid lights and 'image'. No thanks. Much prefer the dodge ram if I were to have any, at least there's some honesty to the Ram (the older ones anyway) Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Not for me im afraid.
Big and cheap looking and i doubt it would take the abuse a defender does. |

i think that the defender (and series vehicles )manage to look purposeful without looking overly aggressive.
if landrover drop the defender altogether i reckon it could have a similar effect to building a house and then taking away the foundations.i think jeep still build the wrangler, suzuki still build jimny etc.not all of us want a sport or vogue or evoque,.i use my defender for everything from getting firewood to crossing europe to attending a wedding.i wouldn't want to use 40/50/60 etc grands worth of vehicle to do these jobs and if i did they would get damaged and be more expensive to repair. come on lr keep the base model...your reputation is built on it. |
